So take a day off work, petition for an inset day at school ...no wait, petition your MP for September 21st to become a Bank Holiday. Its likely that the four disc box set will contain the 1997 Special Edition versions of the movies with extra bits, THX sound and some reworked special effects but the official release is a little vague. The news broke on the official Star Wars site on Tuesday.
• League of Extraordinary Gentlemen DVD Release For anyone that enjoyed The "LXG" movie you will be able to buy the DVD on Monday 16th February. It will feature more commentaries than you can shake a gentlemanly walking cane at, a "making of" documentary, and 12 deleted scenes. We weren't thrilled by it, so it doesn't get any gold recommended stars from us.

Gaming Review
• Playstation Gamepad USB adapter for PC Review (PC / Playstation)
Plug this little chap into a USB port and use your Playstation controller on your PC
We've been using a little gadget around the office for a few weeks now and we think its fantastic. Its good enough that we thought we should share our discovery with you lucky folks. The basic gist of this device is that you plug it into your PC and it enables you to use a PS One or PS2 controller on your PC.
Some games really aren't suited to a joystick or mouse and keyboard combo, and many gamers are familiar with a PS2 controller so its really a rather handy idea. Its especially good if you already own a PC and a Playstation - it means you only have to spend about a tenner to connect a quality gamepad to your PC.
All this is fine in theory, but unless the convertor works its all pointless. So we're pleased to report the version we are using (Available in Game stores, branded as a Game product and called simply "Playstation®2 Control Pad USB adaptor") worked perfectly well for us under Windows XP. Of course thats no guarantee that it will work for you, but Game have an admirable no-quibble refund policy, so your purchase is well protected. If you sometimes think you'd like to be use a console type controller while you're gaming on your PC we would heartily recommend this little device. There are several other adaptors on the market which do the same thing but none seem to be made by known brand names, so its worth looking for reviews of any you think you might buy.
No Game store nearby? You can find alternatives online: http://www.wholesalemods.co.uk/ps1access.php#Adaptors(NOTE: This link is provided simply for your information. We have not bought from Wholesalemods and therefore cannot recommend them)
